The groomers are way too expensive. The economy isn’t in the greatest shape right now. And the news continues to remind you about the coronavirus pandemic, which has you nervous about spending time indoors with other pet owners.
I get your hesitation. But at the same time, I’d like to offer you a much better solution. I’d like to fill you in on one of the amazing dog clippers that I recently tested and decided to review today.
These clippers are called the Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 and I consider them the Best Corded Dog Clippers currently on the market right now. They are powerful, effective, and truly get the job done.

Our Verdict: Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2
Let’s dive right into the action:
I really, really like these clippers a lot. In fact, I think they are so outstanding that I consider them the Best Corded Dog Clippers. They completely surpassed my expectations in the categories that were most relevant and I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a solid pair of clippers that do not contain a rechargeable battery.
These dog hair clippers are very effective. Believe me, when I tell you, they are so effective that I gave them the highest score in this category which is a 98 out of 100. These clippers cut every type of dog hair that you can think of and they work wonderfully, which is exactly what every dog owner is looking for.
They suffered somewhat in the noise/vibration category but not by much. I put these clippers in last place because they are slightly louder than the rest of the ones that I reviewed, but they aren’t so loud that they would scare your dog away.
The power level is so good that it’s off the charts. I couldn’t help myself and gave this astounding product a perfect score in this category because it absolutely deserved it. These clippers are so powerful and they can cut through the thickest dog hair without any trouble at all.
The final two categories are called battery life and accessories. Guess what? These clippers do not fit in either of these categories which is likely unfortunate for some people.
This isn’t part of an overall dog grooming kit so it doesn’t come with any accessories. And it isn’t a cordless dog hair clipper, so it doesn’t actually have a rechargeable battery. So, there is no reason to go into any more detail since these categories aren’t relevant.
But I’d like to close out by saying that if you’re looking for a great pair of dog hair trimmers that absolutely get the job done, then you’ll definitely appreciate this top-notch product.
Our Analysis, Comparisons & Test Results
Consider this:
I pour my heart into my research, analysis, and testing because I love taking care of animals and I love sharing this information with my readers.
I always implement the simplest ways to approach these reviews. And what I’ve discovered is that I should always test products based on the most important categories. In this particular case, I determined that there were 5 categories to test these 5 clippers in.
I tried them all out when I was cutting my dog’s hair and made detailed notes about each one of these clippers. I then took my notes and compared them to the other clippers on a category by category basis until I came up with the proper ranking for each one.

Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 FAQs:
What Blades Come With The Purchase Of The Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 Clippers?
Unlike other dog grooming clippers sets, this particular item only comes with one blade. It is a #10 blade, which seems to be the perfect size to shear various types of pet fur and dog coats.
I can say with absolute certainty that I had no trouble cutting my dog’s hair using these clippers and this particular blade. In fact, the blade was very sharp and the clippers are very powerful, so it was really easy to cut thick dog hair without any difficulty whatsoever.
At the same time, it’s also a great pair of clippers to use if you’re attempting to cut dog hair when it’s thin, medium length, or anything else as well. This blade is ideal for many types of pet fur.
Is It Possible To Attach The Blade Of Another Model Of Dog Hair Clipper To The Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2?
In truth, I never personally tested whether or not you can attach the blade from another model of dog hair clipper to this particular model. It’s something I wouldn’t do because I like to stick with the blades that come from the same manufacturer.
With that said, I did read an interesting story from a previous customer. He tried to attach an Andis ceramic blade to this clipper from a different set of clippers that he had lying around his house. When he attempted to attach it, he found out that it wasn’t possible. And remember, the ceramic blade was designed by the same manufacturer, so keep that in mind.
More than likely, it will not be possible to attach the blade from another dog hair clipper to this particular model. Based on the little bit of information that I have, it really doesn’t seem likely.
Can I Successfully Use Clipper Combs With The Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 Clippers?
Although they do not come with the product, it's possible to purchase a set of clipper combs for the Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 clippers. The manufacturer actually sells two different sets of clipper combs that fit the blade on this electric razor perfectly.
You can either contact the manufacturer directly via their website to find out more about purchasing these clipper combs. Or if you prefer, you can search for them on the website of your favorite online retailer to find out if they have any in stock.
Our Final Verdict: Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2
I’d like to take a moment at this time to thank everyone who stuck around and read this review all the way to the end. I put a lot of hard work and effort into creating these reviews while testing and analyzing different products, and I truly believe that this information is invaluable and should really help you decide on your next set of dog clippers.
In today’s review, we discovered that the Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 dog shears were the Best Corded Dog Clippers currently available today. Just plug these incredible clippers into the wall outlet and watch them go.
One thing that I’d like to make clear is that I always attempt to make the research, testing, and analysis very easy to understand. I test multiple products at the same time and compare them to each other in a number of different categories. In this particular case, I reviewed them based on 5 categories, but this can vary from product group to product group.
Ultimately, just know that I always review the best products available based on the information that I’ve gathered at the time. Things can change as new products are released, but this is the best of the best at the moment.
During testing and analysis, I discovered a few things about the Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 corded dog clippers that I’d like to recap right now. The important things to remember include:
- These dog grooming clippers work amazingly well because they have a lot of power, plug directly into the wall, and they successfully cut every type of dog hair.
- They are the noisiest out of the clippers that I reviewed, although they aren’t so noisy that they’d scare your dog. They are just a little bit loud and vibrate a little bit more than the other clippers but it wasn’t a big deal.
- The power level is off the charts when it comes to these clippers. It’s the first time I’ve ever given a product a perfect score.
- The battery life is totally irrelevant as far as these clippers are concerned because they do not have a rechargeable battery. These corded clippers must be plugged into a wall outlet in order to work.
- They do not have accessories, so this category also isn’t particularly relevant. Unless you’re looking for a full dog grooming kit, which means you should definitely choose a different product because this one isn’t what you’re looking for.
